About Shiu-Kay Kan

Shiu-Kay Kan is an established, innovative lighting designer based in Soho, London. He started his business 27 years ago; in a small basement on the outskirts of the city with partner Mark Sutton-Vane where they began making the unique ‘Kite Lite’ for the Conran Shop.

"  We aim to create exciting, innovative yet functional lighting products that inspire and invoke emotion. All of our products are designed around the simple love of light and the way it dramatically transforms space. A good lighting scheme is the result of a combing art and science, with immense patience, teamwork and meticulous attention to detail  "

SKK caters for all sectors of the market; from simple and rustic to hi-tech and intelligent, commercial to residential, fun to functional, bold and innovative to stylish and conservative. We will endeavour to find the perfect lighting for your unique design requirements. We believe strongly in continual improvement and experimentation. Every project is unique, spawning fresh ideas and concepts which ultimately benefit all parties involved.  In our experience something that is truly special involves a solid foundation built upon clear goals, focused vision and constant communication.
